What did I do in Florida?

I'm leaving my Grandparents house in Florida tomorrow and I had a lot of fun while I was here. It was great to spend the holidays with them because I hadn't seen them since the summer. Here are a few things that we did:

Tampa:
We went downtown to walk around the river, which was very pretty, although it was a little chilly. We went to the aquarium too. We saw some cool fish. I also got to touch some starfish!

The Dali Museum:
In St. Petersburg there is museum that has many works by Salvador Dali. I studied him in Spanish class in high school. It was neat to see some of his works because I actually knew who he was. He is a CREATIVE artist. All of his paintings were amazing! We listened to a tour too, so I learned a lot more about him.

Homosassa State Park:
I got to see so many animals including: MANATEES!, hippo, wolves, owls, bobcat, panther, many types of birds, alligator, turtles, deer, and many more. This place was pretty cool! I was standing like 3 feet away from a 6,000-lb hippo. He was HUGE! We listened to a manatee presentation which was interesting. I learned that they feed the rescued manatees 600 lbs of food a day. That's a lot!

Tomorrow I'm headed to Louisville to spend the night. I will get to see some friends and pick up someone too!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you!

I had a great Christmas day with my family including my grandparents. One of my best gifts was the time I got to spend with my family. I always have fun with them. I had a DELICIOUS dinner as well. Hope you had a great Christmas too!

Christmas in Florida

Tomorrow my Mom, Chris, and I leave for New Port Richey, Florida to spend Christmas with my grandparents. My Dad and Nick are already down there because they went to the UofL bowl game in St. Petersburg. We will be leaving after Chris gets out of school and drive for awhile and stop somewhere to spend the night. We will finish the 20+ hour drive on Christmas Eve. We have never driven this way to Florida before and so we will see what driving down I-95 is like.

I'm ready for some sun and warm weather! It isn't supposed to be as warm as I would like, but I'll take anything! It's been cold up here in Connecticut. We will be down there for a week and then head back up. I haven't seen my grandparents since the summer so I'm excited to spend some time with them.

I'm not sure what we are going to be doing while we're down there, but I'm sure I will have fun! I will be sure you to update you.

4.0

I made all A's this semester which equals a 4.0! I'm so happy! Hopefully next semester will be just as successful. Overall I had a great semester and enjoyed my classes. I feel like I gained a lot more knowledge and I hope to do the same in a few weeks. But for right now I am going to ENJOY this break with no homework, papers, or tests.

Missing mp3 Player

Today on my way back from Preston I lost my mp3 player. I know I put it in my pocket on my way out, but when I got back to my dorm it was gone! I didn't have time to look for it then so I looked an hour later and it is no where to be found :( Who knows.. maybe it will show up! The good thing is it wasn't an expensive one. It also had my arm band and headphones with it too.

Looks like I'm going to need to get a new one....

TWO DAYS LEFTS!

I'm halfway through finals week! Two finals complete, two more to go. My first two went okay, so I think I ended up with an A in both of those classes. I have Educational Psychology and Spanish left. Not too worried about either of those, but I still need to study. I've been getting my grades back from all my presentations and projects from the last few weeks and all of my hard work has paid off! I have gotten A's on everything so far. YAY!

I'm ready for this semester to be over. I'm ready to go home to relax, spend time with my family, and not worry about school work! I will be flying home Friday night and it's going to feel great to be home again and for 5 WEEKS! :)

LET IT SNOW!

It's snowing! We are supposed to get 1-3 inches! It just keeps on coming. The funny thing is at home in Connecticut it is in the 50's and rainy. And here in Bowling Green it's it's in the 20's and snowing.

Below are some pictures that I took from my window:

GLEE - Baby, It's Cold Outside (Full Performance from 12/7)

Glee Christmas was this week! This was probably my favorite song of the week. And it fits perfectly with the cold weather outside this week.

And these last two weeks begin...

Only 2 weeks until Winter Break! It cannot come any faster!! I'm excited to celebrate Christmas with my family and not worry about school. But first I must make it through these next two weeks.

I have three presentations due this week! That means a lot of work and practice! Tuesday I have my Communication Disorder online class presentation. It is a 20-30 minute presentation on Early Intervention in Speech-Language Pathology. On Wednesday I have my Educational Psychology presentation that last 10 minutes. Our 12 or so page paper is also do that day. We will presenting topics in Educational Psychology that relates to how to teach kickball. My last presentation for the week is for my Honors Coll class. I have to present about medical history and an interview for15 minutes. Luckily all of these presentations are with a partner or group, so I don't have to give any by myself. Also, this week I have my Spanish speaking part of my final which I will be speaking Spanish for about 10 minutes with my professor. Wish me luck!

Next week is finals week! I will be taking 4 finals (Sociology, Communication Disorders, Spanish, and Educational Psychology).... so I need to start studying!

Christmas Movies

I'm determined to watch some great Christmas movies this year! Here are some that I really like and definitely want to see sometime between now and Christmas:

1. How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Real People Version)
2. Elf
3. Miracle on 34th Street (1994 Version)
4. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
5. The Santa Clause
6. The Polar Express
7. The Christmas List
8. A Christmas Story (Have never seen it!)
9. Eloise at Christmas Time
10. It's a Wonderful Life (Have never seen it!)

It would be really nice if I didn't have to watch all of these movies by myself. Who wants to watch ALL of these with me?!?
